The hotel is ideally located for a relaxing stay and conveniently placed near Oxford.The hotel became a hideaway for Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor as has played host to many celebrities, royalty and politicians.(09/08 DB) This 13th Century Coaching Inn is made of Cotswold Stone with an ivy clad facade. The courtyard has a small patio area and is surrounded by cottages and smaller buiders which house some of the hotels' bedrooms. At the Gateway to the Cotswolds, set in the picturesque town of Woodstock and a stones throw away from Blenheim Palace.
