Le Meridien Excelsior Gallia is located approximately four miles from Linate International Airport, in the heart of Milan's renowned Piazza d'Aosta. Piazza Duca d'Aosta is a short drive from the city's cultural and financial center and close to the central railway station (Stazione Centrale). Hotel amenities include the shopping arcade (with articles by prestigious Italian and international designers), beauty salon, bellman and porter, florist, gift shop, outdoor and indoor parking, valet parking, and 24-hour front desk and concierge desk. From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP): Distance to Le Meridien Excelsior Gallia is 45 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive. Getting there. Taxis to central Milan cost about 65 EUR 75 EUR and can be arranged by the hotel. The Malpensa Express train runs every 30 minutes between the airport's train station and the city centre (Cadorna station). Single tickets are approximately 9 EUR, and journey time is 40 minutes. Cadorna Station connects to the Milan's metro system. The closest metro stop to the hotel is Centrale. The Malpensa shuttle bus runs to Stazione Centrale (central station) every 20 minutes. The fare is 4.50 EUR and journey time is 20 minutes. The station is adjacent to the hotel. Shuttle services to other destinations, including Turin and Genova, are also available. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. The hotel is on Piazza Duca D Aosta. The city centre is easy to explore on foot, and there are pedestrianised areas around the Duomo. A comprehensive network of trams, buses and four metro lines offers efficient travel throughout the city. Integrated tickets for all modes of public transport can be purchased at newsagents, metro stations, tobacconists, and most coffee bars. Driving is not recommended in Milan's city centre. There are many one way streets, traffic is heavy, and parking is limited. Cars parked illegally are towed or fined. Garage and valet parking is available at the hotel (surcharge).
