More information on Bateleur Camp At Kichwa Tembo

Covering an area of some 1,500 sq. km, the Masai Mara has an abundance of game throughout the year but from June to October comes the climax for which the area is world famous: The Great Migration. Considered to be the most awe-inspiring spectacle in the animal kingdom, millions of zebra and wildebeest cross the Mara River on their annual trek in search of new food sources. You can experience the Mara on game drives in open 4 by 4 safari vehicles, wonder at it from the vantage of a hot air balloon or enjoy a guided nature walk with a Maasai guide armed only with his spear. Bateleur Camp has nine spacious tents and is the epitome of tented luxury in, arguably, the finest camp in Kenya. Set among forests on the edge of the Mara just below the site where the famous final scene in *Out of Africa* was filmed, the camp authentically recreates the experience of those halcyon days, right down to the personal service of your private butler.

Traveler Photos of Nairobi

Flamingos everywhere. It was a constant buzzing sound from their wings. The hippos don't let you out of their sight. Simba - "lion" in Swahili. A young male lion - look at his light mane. They get darker as they age.
