More information on Auberge du Raisin

Nestled in the heart of Cully, halfway between Lausanne and Vevey, the Auberge du Raisin is a must stop-over if one wants to experience the beauty of the Lavaux region and taste the best products it has to offer in the true tradition of Swiss Hospitality. All the conditions are here fulfilled to make your stay both memorable and delicious: the breathtaking beauty of the Lavaux region, Unesco landmark famous for its wide and ancestral wines variety, and the magnificent view of the Geneva Lake combined with the charms of a typical waterfront Swiss medieval village. This charming and romantic XVth century 10-room hotel offers two restaurants, la R?tisserie and la Pinte, two terraces in the summer, seminar and banquet rooms, a period wine cellar and is skilfully managed by the Chef Peter Hasler, who has been working in the house since 1983 and orchestrating the kitchen since 2006. In the hands of the Gauer family since the 1961, the Auberge du Raisin inherited and is committed to two great traditions: Welcome and Gastronomy. Peter Hasler explains why: We have always tried to maintain the Raisins soul and to offer our clients the warmest welcome by keeping our best elements throughout the years. For example, Giacomo Custodero, our head-waiter, has been working here since 1961 and has mastered the art of our ancestral rotisserie a long time ago! He is the soul of the house and knows it probably better than anyone else. On the gastronomic side, our legacy is to emphasize on local products such as among others our Filets de Perche from the lake Geneva with Champagne sauce (from our village fisherman Mr. Monbaron), or the spit roasted Fatted Chicken from la Gruy?re, and of course last but not least all the local wines! You will be delighted by either la R?tisserie, the heart of the Auberge du Raisin, that offers gastronomic cuisine or by la Pinte, where the talented kitchen team will cook you more simple and traditional dishes for a very reasonable price. La Pinte is especially famous for its Menu Gourmand (3-di
