"Overall, this is a nice little hotel." source Orbitz

"Overall if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep this is a decent option, but if you want flair and individual touches you might want to look at other places." source Skoosh

"Moved to the Malmaison in Leith, which cost slightly more, but was worth it - although further from the city centre, it was well served by local buses and taxis, and I would heartily recommend it (it is available via Venere, but not as an online booking)." source Venere

"A very good hotel that i have used many times in the past i have always found the hote to be of excellant value and the staff very helpful." source Venere

"I recommend it if you want a quiet place that's also within walking distance from the centre." source Venere

  • Clean: Rating of 3.4 out of 5

"Good location; clean; quiet." source Skoosh

"Rooms basic but clean, Friendly staff, Good Breakfast, Good location very Central, Short walk from station would get a cab for the first time we couldnt find location on station map very enjoyable stay would use again." source Venere

"The only issue was that whilst rooms were generally clean it would appear that the hotel did not have a decent carpet hoover." source Venere

"The Cairn Hotel is central, clean and cheap with no frills; it was perfectly comfortable but curiously unwelcoming." source Venere

"The room was very clean and cosy, though pretty basic (as expected at the price)." source Venere
