  • Clean: Rating of 3.0 out of 5

"THe location is excellent but the room was not cleaned and smelled, the bathroom was not clean and the Y should inform its customers that the floor where I stayed looked mostly like a shelter for destitute older men." source Hostelworld

"More clean and comfortable than a motor lodge with our own bathroom and king sized bed we slept in the night before." source Skoosh

"the room was too small, no remote control on TV & the restrooms weren't so clean." source Orbitz

"The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (the man at the desk let us check in way before the designated time), the location was outstanding and our room was spotless." source Hostelworld

"The rooms are bare bones, but clean." source Orbitz

  • Location: Rating of 4.7 out of 5

"Really good location but not a lot of stuff to do on the hostel, but there is a lot of stuff to do in New York so it doesn't really matter." source Hostelworld

"if all you need is a bed, this one is cheap and has a good location near the red, blue and orange subways at 59 st station." source Hostelworld

"The restroom/shower area would be really nicer with a ventilation system and the AC in the room was realy old and noisy." source Hostelworld

"Nice location near Central Park, but the hostel itself isn't much to look at." source Hostelworld

  • Value: Rating of 3.7 out of 5

  • Room: Rating of 2.9 out of 5

"The rooms were small, but absolutly perfect if you just come to sleep there. The place was very safe as at night you were asked for your room card to even come into the hostel." source Hostelworld

"No towels in room, 2 of 3 elevators broken, so it took a lot of time to get from the top to the 1st floor to request towels in the morning, then it took even more time to get back up, one staff member was really rude and inconsiderate." source Orbitz

"I stayed there 1 week and i didn't regret it Well maybe it's because i am use to european standards but i was kind of disappointed when i entered my room." source Hostelworld

"just great, thanks for the very quiet room (1062), I'll be coming back next time I'll travel through NY." source Hostelworld

"had problems with door keys, they stopped working and we couldnt get into our room for over an hour." source Hostelworld
