This hotel has been totally rebuilt and restored to its former splendour after a 14-year pause. (00808/AC) A white neo-classic and elegant 7 storey building. The King George II is a deluxe hotel, majestically located in Syntagma (Constitution) Square, at the very heart of Athens. Ancient and contemporary Athens are all within walking distance of the hotel. The Acropolis, the Old Picturesque City (Plaka), the Greek Parliament and the Byzantine Museum, blend with the bustling shopping, business and financial districts.

Guest Rooms:Superior rooms are luxuriously furnished and overlook the hotel's courtyard with its flowering plants and bubbling fountain. These stylishly appointed rooms have their own personal touches and unique interior details representing a turn-of-the century style. Facilities include marble bathrooms with hair-dryers, dual voltage plug, executive work desk, electronic bedside panel, direct dial telephone and dual lines, computer and fax hook-up and voice mail, sat TV, air-conditioning, heating, mini bar, electronic safe deposit boxes, plush cotton towels, luxury bathrobes and toiletries.

Directions

From Athens Airport (ATH): Distance to King George Palace is 39 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive. Getting there. The suburban rail line connects the airport to Athens' central station, Larissis Station. Single tickets cost 8 EUR. Additionally, Metro line 3 runs between the city centre and the airport. Six public bus routes cover Athens and Piraeus, as well as running to Athens Rafina Port. Taxis can be found in front of arrivals, Door 4, and cost about 25 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Public transport throughout Athens is inexpensive and convenient. Services include buses, trams, trolley buses, and a metro service. Tickets should be validated at the orange machines on board or in metro stations. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced. Visitors are advised not to drive in the city.
