"It was my first trip to San Francisco which was not a good experience as the Spaulding Hotel was an old run down hotel, which had bathroom towels which smelt of chlorine, the bedsheets where dirty, I specifically requested 2 single beds, when I was given a small double bed, the front desk person barely spoke english, which was not helpful as I wanted to do some tours, there are no phones in the rooms." — source Venere
