Sokos Hotel Vaakuna is a cosy and homey city hotel at the shore of Lake Vanajavesi, close to the railway station of Hi1/2meenlinna. The rooms are large. They are in very good condition. The bathrooms are of a good size and the new ones have stone grey colour schemes. Nice.

Directions

Buses leave the airport for Helsinki and connect from there to Hameenlinna. A taxi costs approximately 100 EUR. The bus station is 500 metres from the hotel and the train station is 1.5 kilometres. Journey time by train from Helsinki is one hour. The town is accessible by train and can be explored on foot.
