It is a favourite holiday spot for hiking, skiing and snowboarding, boasting one of the country's most prestigious ski resorts. From Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC): Distance to Hotel Rheinischer Hof is 130 kilometres, approximately 90 minutes' drive. Getting there. The airport's train station is located between the two terminals on the basement level. The S8 and S1 S Bahn trains leave every 20 minutes for Munich's main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Journey time is about 45 minutes, and single tickets cost 8.80 EUR. Tickets must be validated prior to travelling. Trains depart hourly thence to Garmisch Partenkirchen railway station, three kilometres from the hotel. Taxis direct from the airport to the hotel cost around 130 EUR. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Garmisch Partenkirchen is relatively compact and accessible on foot. Cable cars connect to the various mountain slopes and activities. The train station, three kilometres away, has regular services to major destinations in Germany. Driving directions. From the airport, follow directions towards Munich and then to the A95 towards Garmisch Partenkirchen.Keep following signs towards Garmisch, even when it is no longer signed in the same direction as Partenkirchen.In Garmisch, stay on the main road and nearly one kilometre past the centre of town, the hotel is on the right.
