Local attractions include George Bernard Shaw's birthplace, Viking Adventure, Guinness Brewery, and Old Jameson Distillery. From Dublin International Airport (DUB): Distance to Hilton Dublin is 17 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive. Getting there. Number 747 and 748 Airlink buses connect the airport to Dublin city centre, and depart every 15 minutes. Tickets can be bought from the driver and the single fare is about 5 EUR. A 24 hour service to central Dublin and Dublin South is offered by Aircoach. Local bus services regularly depart from the arrivals terminal, connecting to destinations throughout the city and its suburbs. Taxis cost about 18 EUR 20 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. The Hilton Dublin hotel is on Charlemont Place. Dublin city centre and Temple Bar's cobbled streets can easily be explored on foot. Dublin's extensive double decker bus system and tram network operate throughout the city and the suburbs. Taxis are available at ranks, and can also be hailed on the street. Parking in the city centre is limited and expensive, but a car is recommended for exploring further afield. Driving directions. From Dublin International Airport: Follow the M1 into the city. Follow signs for St Stephen's Green. Continue into Earlsfort Terrace past the National Concert Hall. Turn right at the end, then left after the traffic lights into Charlemont Street. Turn left at the top of the street before the bridge into Charlemont Place and the hotel is on the left.
