Though our rooms are small and simple we provide all the amenities needed to make you feel just like your journey is a weekend at home with friends. The first hostel is located on the 2nd Floor. It has bunk share rooms, two bathrooms, calm and peaceful rooms and air-conditioning for the entire building. We also provide free coffee in the mornings and will try to help you find anything else you need.(*note that in this location our rooms do not have windows though the common area does*)The other location is on the 9th Floor, just a one minute walk from the first location. It has Private Single rooms, three person rooms, four person rooms and six person rooms. All have nice views of the city, such as Taipei 101 and Shinkong Mitsukoshi tower. There is also a Large open balcony, three showers at balcony and two indoor toilets. And for your security our brave cat Mimi ('Secret' in Chinese) is ready to watch out for any danger that may approach - although our hostel is exceedingly safe and friendly. DIRECTIONS to TaiwanMex HostelThe Hostel is located next to the ZhongShan Station(MRT) underground train stop. (In English say JongShan or Chungshan),BE CAREFULL, DO NOT TAKE THE 'RAILROAD TRAIN' TO SONGSHAN RAILWAY STATION.All contact details will be on the confirmation email that you will get after you book.------Directions from Airport to TaiwanMex Hostel------After you leave the passport check.1. Walk to the left to the bus desk.2. Choose 'KwoKuang Motor Transport Company Ltd'Buy a ticket to the Taipei Main Station.Cost is about 125 Taiwan Dollars or about 5 dollar U.S.(The station is for above ground and below groundtrains, inside the station is also the Subway or Metro. (MRT )3. You stay on bus till the end or when it stops atthe Taipei Main Station.When you arrive at Taipei Main Station please call us and we will meet you at ZhongShan MRT Station and Bring you back to TaiwanMex.4. Board the Subway going to ZhongShan MRT Station EXIT ONE.5. Leave when you get to the ZhongShan Exit numberone. You will see it written in English.6. Leave the ZhongShan station.at your left side is Taipei Milk King and Look in front of you, there will be a Starbucks Coffee Shop. Look at it, then turn around 180 degrees or opposite and walk the opposite direction of Starbucks.7. You are now on street NAMED: Lane 18 ,Nanjing W. Rd,(between Exit one and Taipei Milk King)about 200s foot you can see TaiwanMex.8. The Hostel has a sign in English 'TaiwanMex' Number18-1 .9. Ring bell for at gate, they will answer and ring you in.10. Hostel is on the second floor.Welcome--------------------------------------------------NOTES:The underground train is could be called Metro,Subway, Train, in your language, in Taipei they call it the MRT.METRO OR SUBWAYThe metro, MRT or Subway does NOT go to the Airport.You must take a bus to city. Taxi would cost 40-45 U.S. Dollars.and do not pay anything more to taxi driver.ATM or bank machine in inside the Airport Terminal.One dollar equals 30 Taiwan dollars more or less.TOURISM COUNTERThere is a tourist counter where they can give youfree mapsand help you to understand Taipei. They speak English.This is a great place to have the address written intothe Chinese language.TAXISThe taxis are metered and start at 70 Taiwan dollars.
