Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort offers skin-drenching fun all year long right in the beautiful setting of Starved Rock State Park. Located just 1-1/2 hours from Chicago, our 60 wooded acres offer all of nature's wonders, including Grand Bear Falls, a 24,000 sq. ft. indoor water park, The Enchanted Forest, our 36,000 sq. ft. indoor amusement park, beautiful lodge accommodations as well as our 1800 sq. ft. vacation villas and luxurious 2800 sq. ft. cabins. Enjoy casual family dining for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Jack's Place restaurant or grab one of our 12 gourmet pizzas at Lumber Jacks Pizzeria and Sports Bar. During the summer months guests can enjoy an outdoor lunch or a cool refreshing drink at Bandits Bar and Grill, which is located on Bear Island next to our very own Curtis Canyon. Next to Bear Island enjoy our A"Castle in the WoodsA" playground area and test your skills at our 18 hole Canyon Creek Miniature Golf Course. All lodge rooms include a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer. Our vacation villas are a 2-story town home with a fully applianced kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our Log Cabins offer 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a fully applianced kitchen, 3 fireplaces and a plasma TV in our oversized Great Room. Other resort amenities include the Cave Arcade with over 60 games, the Wave Cafe Snack Shop, the Honey Pot Sweet Shop, the Grizzly Bean Gourmet Coffee Shop, the Moose Crossing Convenience Store and the Northwoods Niche Gift Shop. Our Grand Bear Conference Center includes over 8000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including 6000 sq. ft. of Grand Ballroom space to accommodate your larger functions such as weddings, family reunions, etc.

Family Suite:The Family Suite can come with or without a balcony and is perfect sleeping for six people with two queen size beds and a sofa sleeper (rates are based on 4 people).Whirlpool Suite:The Whirlpool Suites are for romantic getaways and honeymooners. This cozy suite features a two-person whirlpool tub, a fireplace and a four-post king size canopy bed (Maximum occupancy: 2).Kid Cabin Suite:The Kid Cabin Suites are designed for larger families of up to five people. This large room has a queen size bed, a sofa sleeper and a set of twin bunk beds for kids. There are two televisions in the suite (Rates are based on 4 people).Deluxe Family Suite:The Deluxe Family Suite are the most spacious in the lodge, with three rooms accommodating up to eight people. This suite offers three distinctive sleeping areas with two queen size beds and a sofa sleeper. The master bedroom has its own two-person whirlpool tub and king size bed. The suites have three televisions and a cozy fireplace (Rates are based on 6 people).Vacation Villa:The Vacation Villas are beautiful two-story, wooden timber townhome, each villa with log style furnishings and sleeps up to ten people. The generous 1,800 square foot villas are designed with a living room with fireplace, television with DVD player, dining area, two bedrooms upstairs, two bathrooms, patio and balconies. The villas have complete kitchens with all major appliances, dinnerware, cookware as well as eating and dining utensils. The fabulous master bedroom has a king size bed, fireplace, television, DVD player and a private vanity off the bathroom. It also features a two-person whirlpool tub. The second bedroom has two queen size beds, a television and DVD player. All villas have full-size washers and dryers. (Rates are based on 6 people).Log Cabin:These very attractive log cabins can sleep up to 18 people. The cabins are 2,800 square feet comprised of a large living room with vaulted ceiling, three fireplaces, three bedrooms, four bathrooms and four televisions each with a DVD player. The cabins have complete kitchens with all major appliances, dinnerware, cookware as well as eating and dining utensils. Two of the bedrooms have whirlpool tubs and the other bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. All cabins have full-size washers and dryers. Most cabins have a view overlooking Grand Bear Lakes.(Rates are base on 10 people).King Suite Wheelchain Accessible:The King Suites can accommodate up to four people and feature a king size bed and a sofa sleeper. These suites are wheelchair accessible and have handicapped shower facilities instead of a tub.
