Manchester youth hostel is the only hostel in Manchester with a visit Britain 4 star rating. This is a youth hostel; but not as you know it! We have everything for the modern traveller, at a traditional hostel price including free wireless internet access for all guests and a brand new bar fully stocked with the finest organic wines and bottled beers.We are a purpose built hostel offering clean, modern rooms. All our rooms have 4 or 6 beds and an en-suite toilet and shower. There are televisions available in some rooms for a small supplement. From our bar we sell a selection of fine wines, local bottled ales and imported bottled beers, we are fully licensed to serve drinks up until 11pm- so you can have a great start to your night, or just relax with a few drinks in one of our comfortable lounges.A buffet style breakfast with a selection of cooked and continental items is available for purchase. We also serve a selection of coffees, sandwiches and snacks throughout the day and an a la carte evening meal with reasonably priced meals; which are freshly prepared from the finest locally sourced ingredients.Manchester youth hostel is the ideal choice for the budget conscious traveller and welcomes guests of all ages. We are just a 10 minute walk from Manchester city centre and are the ideal base for any trip to the North's finest city.Whether you are an independent traveller or with family or friends we aim to make your trip as enjoyable and comfortable as we can. Our friendly efficient staff are on hand throughout the day to help and advise you with ideas on what to do in Manchester, travel information, discounted attraction tickets, onward accommodation bookings- in fact we are here and happy to help with anything we can!With reception open 7am to 11pm and professional security throughout the night, guests have access to the building 24/7 so you can enjoy the daytime sights and the bustling nightlife, returning safely to your bed regardless of the hour. All groups and individuals welcome!YHA policy states that customers under 14 years of age are not permitted to stay in shared dormitories, and those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is aged 18 years or older. Anyone between the age of 16 and 18, if unaccompanied, must book a private room or share with individuals of the same sex and age group. YHA strongly recommends that customers wishing to bring children under the age of 18 reserve a private room and do not stay in shared dormitories.This hostel is part of the Youth Hostels Association of England & Wales, which is a membership organization. The prices quoted are member's prices. A non-members supplement of �3 per person per night will be charged on arrival for those guests not in possession of a valid YHA England & Wales or equivalent IYHF/ Hostelling International membership card.

Directions

From the Airport: Take the rail link direct to Deansgate Station from where we are only a 5 minute walk. Alternatively take the train to Piccadilly, then Metrolink tram to G-Mex and follow directions below.From G-Mex Metrolink Station: Cross the tracks and turn left. You will see signs for Castlefield which direct you across the station car park. Take the stairs or lift, past the Roman Fort and down steps into the arena, the hostel is opposite and left under the bridge next to the canal.By Road: Follow signs for Castelfield/Museum of Science and Industry.
