"the location was brilliant and the staff were helpful but the rooms werent in the best condition and the building overall reminded me of the hotel out of the shinning." source Hostelworld

"Staff very helpful too and the free internet access was an added bonus would def recommend it to fellow travelers." source Hostelworld

"Would recommend, great location near buses and the metro and also Lincoln park which is good." source Hostelworld

"Jay was excellent - totally recommend this hostel." source Hostelworld

"The hostel is clean enough, and though not in centre town, very well connected through public transport and is located in a very nice neighbourhood." source Hostelworld

"It was somewhat clean, but my bed was broken which made for an awful nights sleep." source Hostelworld

"Room was clean, we actually got an extra bed. The bathroom was clean." source Hostelworld

"The rooms were dirty especially the bathrooms which were never cleaned." source Hostelworld

  • Service: Rating of 3.7 out of 5

"Good location, helpful staff, parking costs and is located a few blocks away (residental parking on road at nights prohibts parking near)." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 4.1 out of 5

"The hostel is in a really nice outlying area- good bars and restaurants, by the park and beach but a bit of a distance from downtown although it's not too far from the subway and there are buses." source Hostelworld

"super hot in the mornings and apparently we weren't allowed to open the windows, other than that it was fun, friendly and in a cool location easy to get to the centre of town from." source Hostelworld

"Its in a great area and is loads of fun but the rooms need better air conditioning, I could barely sleep some nights." source Hostelworld

"Nice place, great location if you want to be not in the city, the surrounding area is fun and interesting." source Hostelworld

"staff were great, rooms were well kept, good toast and jam at breakfast, and lincoln park is a GREAT neighborhood." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"I've never stayed in a hostel in the United States, but of all the hostels I've been in down in South America (I traveled there for 4 months) this wasnt even comparable to those, and of course it was threee times the price." source Hostelworld

"Therefore, I think that the price is just not reasonable." source Hostelworld

"price is fairly expensive." source Hostelworld

  • Room

"The hostel is ok, but need to implement these 2 things: 1) put security lockers in the rooms for free and 2) have some sort of curfew for noise at night and ENFORCING IT. Some people were singing and playing guitar very loudly until 2am and it was VERY LOUD (and our room was at the very end." source Hostelworld

"no wireless in the room was sad. and it was insanley hot because somehow the air did not change in the room (it was always about 15 - 25 degrees warmer in the room than outside, 3rd floor)." source Hostelworld

"the showers can be a bit messy and far away from your room, but all in all i highly recomend the arlington to all types of traveller." source Hostelworld

"For such an expense this hostel is relatively far away from the main sights and has cramped, dilapidated rooms." source Hostelworld

"No air conditioning in private rooms and due to the old brick construction of the building it gets VERY warm." source Hostelworld
