Our guest house is very characteristic and situated in the Florentine historical centre. �Locanda Gallo� is located in one of the most important 'historical sectors' of Florence the 'Quartiere San Lorenzo'.We restructured our rooms and hall in April 2007. We have: - 1 reception where you can stay and use our computer - 3 four bed private room with bathroom - 2 triple private room with bathroom - one with kitchen corner - 3 double private room with bathroom and kitchen cornerAll the rooms are private with bathroom, TV, WI-FI internet access for free and air-conditioning. We have no curfew so you can come and go as you please. Our Double rooms have kitchens and are the ideal choice for those who wants to rent for a longer period.We are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a palace of the Florentine 14th century that hosted the 'Spedale dei Cavalieri di Malta.' Locanda Gallo is the ideal place if you want to find courtesy, cleanliness and good services in a very central location at the best prices.We will help you with all our experience and courtesy and give you a stay in Florence to remember.If you are looking for a standard, anonymous and ordinary place don�t come to us!Locanda Gallo is located on a historical Florentine building, so it is really traditional, with a small entrance and nice little stairs.We are really well located, with the Central Railway Station only a 15 minutes walk away. From there you can explore Florence: - 15 minutes walking to the Duomo - 10 minutes walking to the David - 20 minutes walking from the main train station Santa Maria Novella - 500 meters from Galleria dell'Accademia (original David of Michelangelo)- 400 meters from Cathedral- 800 meters from Uffizi GalleryIn the nearby there is: -an internet cafe -3 bars/pubs -many restaurants � one caters to vegetarians -a coin laundry -a supermarket -a bank -a police station - the open air market of San LorenzoThere is no 24 hour reception, just check in at arrival, your stay in Florence will be like being in your own home!Look at the picture of the entrance, so you will recognize it when you arrive, once you are there ring our bell 'Locanda Gallo'. How to reach us:By air:From Aeroporto Amerigo Vespucci of Florence take the shuttle for Santa Maria Novella train station. From here walk to via Nazionale up to via xxv aprile turn right, go through via xxv aprile up to Via S. Gallo.Time walking 10/15 minutesBy train:From Stazione Santa Maria Novella you will arrive on foot after only 10/15 minutes. Take the exit on the left for Piazza Adua. From here walk to via Nazionale up to via xxv aprile turn right, go through via xxv aprile up to Via S. Gallo.By car:Coming from the North, from Pisa and from highways A1 Bologna-Milano and A11 Lucca-Genova, exit at Firenze Nord and follow directions for the Center and then for Stazione - Fortezza da Basso. After the underpass of Fortezza da Basso take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini and turn right at the first traffic light on Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and then turn left in Via delle Ruote. At the end of Via delle Ruote you will find Via San Gallo, turn left and look for the number 73. There is a target 'Locanda Gallo'Coming from the south, from Siena (SS22) or from highway A1 Roma-Napoli, exit at Firenze Sud and follow the directions for the Center, then for Stazione - Fortezza da Basso. When you reach Piazza della Libert� turn left at the first light (as if you were circling the square) and after the second light take Viale Lorenzo il Magnifico which is across from it, a little to the right; at the first light turn left (Via Poliziano) and at the next traffic light cross the street and keep right and take Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and then turn left in Via delle Ruote. At the end of Via delle Ruote you will find Via San Gallo, turn left and look for the number 73. There is a target 'Locanda Gallo'
