More information on Threadneedles

This was the first luxury hotel built in the City, home to many of London's major financial institutions. The building, on Threadneedle Street (hence the name), was constructed in 1856 and was originally designed to be a bank, complete with solid oak doors and marble columns. The conversion to its latest role is successful. Contemporary comforts are found in the midsize to spacious bedrooms and suites. The limestone bathrooms contain tub/shower combinations, and there are such elegant touches as Egyptian-cotton and duck-down duvets on the beds. This luxury boutique hotel lies near the Bank of England, which is also known as "The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street." Facilities: Restaurant; bar; room service; babysitting; laundry service; same-day dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; rooms for those w/limited mobility Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice.
