This splendid Georgian mansion house is set in over three acres of grounds in the tranquil village of Alveston, just two miles from Shakespeare's Birthplace. A comfortable place to stay if you're seeking a cultural weekend. See performances by the world renowned Royal Shakespeare Company at one of the town's theatres or take advantage of the fantastic shopping. Warwick Castle, the finest medieval castle in England is only 8 miles away. On your return why not relax with a glass of wine and sample one of our delicious home cooked meals. YHA Stratford's restaurant is open from 17:30 to 20:30 and the bar serves a full selection of drinks until 23.00 each evening. We offer 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 bedded rooms. Some rooms have en-suite facilities. Meals available include breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal. Evening meals are available from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.Our hostel is great for those who know Othello from Macbeth!*** This hostel is part of the Youth Hostels Association of England & Wales, which is a membership organization. The prices quoted are member's prices. A non members supplement of �3 per person per night will be charged on arrival for those guests not in possession of a valid YHA England & Wales or equivalent IYHF/ Hostelling International membership card ***YHA policy states that customers under 14 years of age are not permitted to stay in shared dormitories, and those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is aged 18 years or older. Anyone between the age of 16 and 18, if unaccompanied, must book a private room or share with individuals of the same sex and age group. YHA strongly recommends that customers wishing to bring children under the age of 18 reserve a private room and do not stay in shared dormitories.

From Stratford-upon-Avon, at Clopton Bridge take B4086 Wellesbourne Road; follow hostel signs. Hostel 1 1/2m on Left. From M40, at Jct 15 take A429 S, follow signs to Charlecote Park, then turn Right onto the B4086, hostel is 1 1/2m on Right.Bus information: Avonlink X18 or 15 from Stratford to the hostel.Train information: Stratford-upon-Avon 2 1/2m. National Express: Riverside Bus Station 1/2m.
