Located on busy Post Street in the heart of downtown San Francisco, Calif., the eight story Dakota Hotel offers guestrooms and apartments for long term stays. Featuring a central location, guests can easily walk to the theater district, the cable car turnaround, and the shops and restaurants at Union Square. The San Francisco International Airport is 30 minutes away by car or taxi. The Dakota Hotel offers 42 bright but modest rooms, each with old world touches like ceiling fans and footed bathtubs, along with microwave ovens, refrigerators and satellite television. An old fashioned birdcage elevator carries guests to their rooms in this renovated 1914 historic building. Complimentary coffee is served in the lobby each morning, and the entire hotel is smoke free. A variety of dining options are nearby.
