Recently renovated in 2007, Hotel Kabuki is a premier Japanese-style hotel in San Francisco with a western touch. With its prime Japantown location and unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, Hotel Kabuki offers a calm and serene ambiance.Centrally located in San Francisco's Japan town at the base of prestigious Pacific Heights, the Hotel Kabuki San Francisco Offers a unique blend of Eastern and Western styles surrounded by all the charm and excitement of the city.The hotel anchors the east end of the landmark Japan Center, a fascination three-square block shopping, dinning and entertainment complex in the heart of the city. It is just minutes from the Financial District, as well as many of the city's leading attractions and cultural offerings including Chinatown, Nob Hill, Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, the Performing Arts Center, and Golden Gate Park. It is 13 miles from San Francisco International Airport. The Hotel Kabuki San Francisco opened in 1968 and was completely renovated in 2007. The exterior of the hotel's 16 story tower and five-story garden Wing echo the artistry of traditional Japanese architecture while Japanese gardens and a Koi (fish) pond add to the overall aesthetic experience. Interior furnishing seamlessly blend Japanese and California styles and are complemented by the hotel's $6 million Japanese art collection. The Hotel Kabuki features 205 richly appointed guestrooms plus 13 specialty suites. The combination of elegant furnishings and diffused natural lighting through shoji (rice paper) screens contributes to a serene ambience. Guests may choose from Western or traditional Japanese accommodations. Sumptuous bathrooms feature deluxe bath amenities and offer a choice between a Western-style tub/shower combination and a furo (deep-tub Japanese bath for soaking and relaxing).. In 2001, renovation of the bathrooms commenced. This three-year, five million-dollar projects include new tubs, granite counter tops, and marble floors. Regardless of room category, Hotel Kabuki guests enjoy luxury hotel services and amenities. The hotel has a self-service business center and an on site fitness center. Convenient and affordable indoor parking, with direct access to the hotel, is available in the Japan Center Garage beneath the hotel.
