Location. The Stromness Hotel is located in Stromness on Orkney Island in Scotland, within two miles of Scapa Flow, a scuttled German fleet, and seven miles from Mae's Howe, an ancient burial tomb. Hotel Features. The Stromness Hotel is set in a four storey traditional stone house overlooking the harbour. There is a traditional Victorian garden situated to the rear of the hotel. This is a smoke free property. A full complimentary Scottish breakfast is served daily. Scapa Flow Restaurant overlooks the garden and opens for lunch and dinner, serving a la carte dishes. Guests can enjoy cocktails overlooking the harbour from the bay windows of the Hamnavoe Lounge Bar or enjoy an open fire at the Flatt Bar. The Still Room serves over one hundred malt whiskies. Bicycle rentals are available on site for exploring the local area. Guestrooms. There are 42 guestrooms with traditional decor at Stromness Hotel. Amenities include private bathrooms, hair dryers (on request), televisions and direct dial telephones. Expert Tip. Trout fishing is available on Orkney's lochs. Boat hire can be found at the harbour opposite the hotel. Or take in an 18 hole golf course at Stromness Golf Club, one mile from the hotel.

Follow the A90 to Kirkwall. Take the A95 to Stromness. The Stromness Hotel is situated in front of the harbour.
