More information on Black Sheep Hostel Medellin

The Black Sheep Hostel is a three year old New Zealand owned and run hostel located in the best area of Medellin. Only five minutes walk from the Metro Station Poblado and a minutes walk from a major bus route. The hostel is also less than ten minutes walk to a major shopping center, one of the largest supermarkets in the city and the top University for studying Spanish, EAFIT. Among the facilites offered are four new Dell computers with 4000k high speed internet and there is CD/DVD burning available as well. All computers have Skype calling and headphones. We also have have WIFI. Unlike other city hostels we have a lot of outside space for relaxing. The hostel has a large garden area and a balcony with a couple of hammocks. We have an Argentinian style bbq where we eat outside several nights a week. The house is very secure with 24 hour reception area and a security guard covering the street all day and night. The area is one of the quietest and safest in Medellin. The owner, has several years experience travelling in Colombia as well as South America and can offer all types of advice. There is a Spanish school onsite where you can take private or group lessons and a dance school to improve the salsa around the corner.

Directions

The hostel is a five minute walk from the Metro Station Poblado. A map on the website offers help in reaching the place as well as suggested ways of arrival from local airports and bus stations. Taxi prices in Medellin are very reasonable.
