Location. The Tango Mar Beach and Golf Resort stretches along a 150 acre private beachfront reserve on the Nicoya Peninsula in the port city of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Tambor Beach is located less than seven kilometers from this tropical resort. Hotel Features. The property is surrounded by gardens inhabited by native species such as howler monkeys, macaws, toucans, parrots, sloths, iguana and deer. The hotel serves daily complimentary breakfasts, and two restaurants and bars serve international and Costa Rican fare. Tango Mar Spa and Yoga Center features beauty treatments, classes in various forms of yoga, lymphatic therapy and massage. Recreational opportunities include horseback riding on the beach, boogie boarding and mountain biking. A freeform outdoor pool, a beachfront infinity pool and a swim up bar area available. Resort staff manages childcare referrals, currency exchange and Town Car rentals. The front desk staff offers tour assistance. Guestrooms. The three story Tango Mar Beach and Golf Resort features 30 guestrooms and suites. Furnished patios afford ocean or garden views. Accommodations boast hand carved wooden furniture, and suites highlight canopy beds dressed with 300 thread count linens. Rooms contain minibars and coffeemakers. In room safes are provided. All accommodations are equipped with cable television. Expert Tip. This resort is dedicated to ecological causes as evidenced by its recycling and composting programs, and its exclusive use of non chlorinated, biodegradable cleaning agents and fertilizers. Endangered leatherback and green turtles lay their eggs on a secluded section of the resort's beach, and porpoises and migrating whales pass within view of the shoreline.
