More information on Whitehall Hotel

Set in a Victorian manor house built in 1899, the Whitehall Hotel is situated between Bolton and Blackburn, one mile from the West Pennine Moors. The old manor house has been restored into a traditional English country hotel, set in three acres of landscaped gardens and mature woodlands. The 17 rooms have light wooden furnishings and large workspace areas. All have high speed Internet connections, televisions, direct dial phones, complimentary toiletries and balconies or patios. Guests can chose between courtyard and executive rooms, both of which have one double or two twin beds. The executive rooms overlook the gardens and woodland areas, and have are complete with spa baths. Guests can explore the four acre gardens and the hiking and biking trails in the surrounding wooded areas, before relaxing with a glass of mulled wine in front of the fireplace. In the summer, guests can enjoy barbecues and picnics in the spacious gardens. The hotel has an onsite restaurant and bar. The Rose Room offers traditional English and French cuisine; specialities include roast Goosnargh duck and chef's chocolate torte, accompanied by an extensive wine list. The restaurant is decorated with ornate wooden tables and period pieces with chandelier lighting and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Lounge Bar is decorated in shades of gold and red and hung with paintings by local artists. Guests can enjoy dishes like Black Pudding with Ribbon Vegetables with a glass of mulled wine or Romanoff vodka in front of the roaring fire, looking out over the stately fountain. The business center includes conference rooms, audio visual equipment, computer rental, exhibit space, banquet facilities and secretarial services. Other hotel amenities include complimentary parking and room service. Families can enjoy a fun day out at Camelot Theme Park, 10 miles away, with its entertainment shows and thrilling rides. The 14th century manor house, Samlesbury Hall is also 10 miles away. The nearest international airport is Manchester Airport, 22 miles away.
