More information on Harbour House

Harbour House is a 50 bed Tourist Board APPROVED hostel with en-suite single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms, family rooms and dormitory rooms. Built in 1860 for the Harbour Master, when Sligo was one of the busiest ports in Ireland; this old house has retained its character, while being turned into warm clean comfortable accommodation at affordable prices - a little more than a hostel. It is situated only twelve minutes walk from the centre of Sligo town and the main train and bus terminus for the North West of Ireland. Groups of 10 or more can enjoy a continental breakfast. We also offer our guests self catering facilities for tea, coffee, and snacks. We do also Laundry Facilities. Sligo has many facilities to offer visitors. Because of its position, Harbour House is close to all amenities such as sea and lake fishing, shark fishing, scuba diving, bowling, swimming, golfing, windsurfing, sailing, and many other outdoor and indoor pursuits. All are just within minutes of Harbour House.If you wish to eat out, Sligo has many restaurants and hotels which provide the most varied of menus, sure to please the most discerning of tastes. Directions

From Bus/Train station turn left on Lord Edward St walk to traffic lights, turn left on to N4 carraigeway walk on to traffic lights take a left walk on under bridge continue straight on to the Finisklin Road until you reach roundabout (past Brooks Hanley, Nibblers Cafe, Bruss, the Ursuline College, Compupac & Value Centre, until you come to Harbour House)- total time approx 12 minutes walking. See our map on your booking confirmation.By CarFrom the North - the main road will bring you to Hughes Bridge. Stay in the outside lane and turn right immediately on crossing the bridge onto Ballast Quay. Follow the road until you come to the roundabout outside Harbour House.From the South and east, stay on N4 and at the 4th set of traffic lights turn left on to finisklin road continue on under bridge to roundabout at Harbour House.
