Viru Backpackers is a friendly little hostel for all kind of travelers. It is the best located youth hostel in Tallinn, right on the Old Town main street.Viru Backpackers is perfect for those who like it cozy and quiet. We have 7 private rooms that can accommodate up to 16 persons. The rooms are simple but clean and are nicely decorated. For all your question, our staff knows everything about Tallinn and are always ready to answer your questions. There is also an information board and free maps available.The hostel's prime location around the corner of the Town Hall Square makes it easy to reach all of the best places and see everything. The best restaurants and bars are only mere footsteps away. Directions

Our Backpackers is located on Viru street, the main street in town. So if you get lost you can always ask around, but you can hardly miss it. We are located on Viru 5, above the Salamander shoe shop. We have a sign hanging outside on the gate, also the entrance to a tattoo shop. Ring bell nr. 2, take the first door on your left and walk to the 3rd floor.If you decide to take a cab (call +372 6380000 for the cheapest one), ask them to drop you off at the Hesburger at flower market, just in front of the Viru Gates (cars can�t go further).From the Airport:Take bus number 2 to the A.Laikmaa stop at the Viru shopping center and walk from there to the Old Town. You will see a small flower market: walk there through the Viru Gates and you will end up in Viru street. From the Bus Station:Take bus 17 or 23 to Vabaduse V�ljak, the bus stop at a big square. Cross the parking lot and walk into Harju street. Turn at the tourist office to the right into Kuninga street, pass the Olde Hansa restaurant and you end up in Viru street.From the Harbour:Walk from the port in the direction of the Old Town: take a left into Mere street till the roundabout. Take a right there through the Viru Gates and you will end up in Viru street. Otherwise cross the street from the port to Uus street and on the end of that a right into Viru street.
