The Hotel Captain Cook, conveniently located in the downtown area, is 5.5 miles from Anchorage International Airport. The hotel has 547 guest rooms, including 96 suites, each offering a view of Cook Inlet or the Chugach Mountains. On a clear day it is possible to view Mt. McKinley from many vantage points. Some of the finest services and shopping in Anchorage can be found in the hotel and immediately adjacent shopping areas. This includes men's and women's clothing stores, fine jewelry, gift shops, an art gallery, sundries, an espresso shop and an Alaska Airlines ticket counter just to name a few. In the hotel are separate men's and women's athletic club facilities open on a complimentary basis to registered hotel guests. Shared facilities are the swimming pool/jacuzzi/aerobics room/raquetball court.
