This is a great little hotel. The comfortable surroundings, a warm welcoming ambience, excellent food and great personal service are a combination that has ensured that guests return time after time. (GW 07/2008) The original building where you enter dates back to the 19th Century whilst the accomodation is a newer annexe with large windows providing guests with great views. Situated in a unique postion literally overlooking the spectacular River Dee with it's racing white water and leaping salmon. Flanked by one of the oldest roads (A5), the oldest Canals, the vintage steam railway line and the most famous bridge to cross the river Dee, the hotel could not occupy a more beautiful location. Although standing in splendid isolation, the hotel is just 2 miles from the bustling town of Llangollen, and Chester and Wrexham are only 25 and 10 minutes away respectively.
