Ideal for visiting the Staffordshire Potteries, Historic Chester and Alton Towers to name but a few. Within an hours drive of the vibrant city centers of Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. Also within easy reach of North Wales and its' many costal towns and castles. This is a beautiful hotel and well recommended stay. (KB 06/08) This wonderful hotel is a stately Jacobean mansion dating back to 1615, A grade 1 listed stately home, the main hall has been rebuilt at various times with a majority of today's structure with its roots in the mid-Victorian era. Notable is the tower which now houses a four poster bedroom suite, ornate stonework, stained glass windows and landscaped gardens and terraces. The hotel is located on the Cheshire and Staffordshire borders, surrounded by stunning countryside. Centrally located 3 miles from junction 16 of the M6, with easy access to Crewe Rail Station and both Manchester and Liverpool Airports.

Additional bedrooms are located in the new west wing, where guests will find a refreshingly modern environment with a minimalist style. Here bedrooms are spacious and modern with clean, uncluttered lines where every effort has been made to ensure comfort. All bedrooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition.

Directions

Getting there.There is a frequent train service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly station in the city centre. The hotel is one mile from Crewe train station. Taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall of each terminal, and should cost approximately 45 GBP to the hotel. The airport's bus network provides direct services to many local centres, as well as links to other towns and cities. All buses call at the airport bus station located outside Terminal One International Arrivals. The town centre is easily reached on foot. A car would be useful to get around the surrounding area. Driving directions.From the airport leave the M6 motorway at Junction 16 and take the A500 towards Crewe. At the first roundabout take the last exit, the A5020, signposted for Crewe. At the next roundabout take the first exit, and the entrance to the hotel can be found a few hundred yards along the right hand side.
