Buckinghams Hotel is the gateway to the Peak District National Park, 7km from Chatsworth House and just 1km from Chesterfield Markets. Originally a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted into this attractive, comfortable, hotel. It is well known for being warm and friendly and specialising in superlative food. This hotel is recommended by QIT and Best Loved Hotels. Please note latest check-in time is 10pm, and the hotel now has a stairlift.

From East Midlands Airport (EMA): Distance to Buckinghams Hotel is 25 miles, approximately 45 minutes' drive. Getting there. The best way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taxi, which costs around 40 GBP. Prices are subject to change. Getting around. Chesterfield is small and easy to explore on foot. There is also a bus service which runs around the town and out to neighbouring areas. Chesterfield train station, which links to the rest of the UK, is 500 yards from the hotel. A car is recommended for exploring more of the Derbyshire countryside. Driving directions. From junction 29 of the M1, take the second exit at the roundabout onto the A617 to Chesterfield. At the next roundabout, take the second exit and at the next roundabout, take the second exit. Follow the road to the town centre. At the traffic lights. get into the right hand lane and follow the road round. At the next traffic lights, move into the left hand lane and follow the road round to the mini roundabout. Take the first exit, signposted Barlow (B6051). Buckinghams Hotel is 800 yards along the road on the right, just after the zebra crossing.
