More than 100 years ago the late Queen Victoria of England dined here in todays Furstenzimmer while travelling incognito. And Churchill drew up his battle plans in front of the huge open hearth of the Bauernstube. The fascinating wealth of historical pictures and valuable antiques bear witness to a moving past over 225 years. All the way through the hotel you will find original paintings of famous artists and an almost unique collection of pictures of Xanten and the Niederrhein.
