The Raging Elk International Hostel is located in the heart of Fernie, famous for its large mountain environment, world class powder skiing & mountain biking.Fernie is known as large and NEW this year we have just added a large Canadian timber frame canopy & large log patio! ...perfect for apre ski. We have a SUPER LARGE common kitchen... fully loaded, theater style t.v room, pool table & games rooms where we hold regular sumo matches! The Raging Elk is a five star backpackers & our friendly staff want to show all of Fernies hidden secrets!!SAUNA, ski shuttle, ski and snowboard storage and FREE WIRLESS .Private motel style rooms, semi-private rooms ( sleep 4-5 , own shower and toilet), dorm rooms (sleep 4+ common showers, toilets). Winter is a skiers/snowboarders heaven with 5 large bowls providing a variety of terrain and steeps and easy access to back country. Summer also rocks, with some of the best mountain biking in canada, hiking (without mass crowds), fly fishing (one of the top ten rivers in North America), golf and white water rafting. So as you can imagine, it's second heaven! Our motto ... Spend A Night Not A Fortune! The Raging Elk is closed from 22nd of April until 1st of June. While in Fernie be sure to enjoy one of famous road trips in the Raging Elk powder hunter shuttle, to whiteswan hotsprings and Castle mountainand OUR FREE DAILY ROCKY MOUNTAIN BREAKFAST.
