  • Overall: Rating of 4.5 out of 5

"There were no noise problems, and with the location being so close to downtown and Kyoto Station (as well as restaurants and shops), it was a great place to stay in Kyoto." source Hostelworld

"K's are consistently one of the best hostel chains in Japan and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a great place to stay." source Hostelworld

"Overall is an excellent stay with K House even though Twin room bedroom mattress is a little too thin." source Hostelworld

"We enjoyed stay at K's House, I will recommend to my friend to live when they planned to go to kyoto." source Hostelworld

"Fantastic hostel to stay at, would highly recommend to anyone, and gladly stay there again." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 4.7 out of 5

"Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in - facilities were impeccably clean and the common room was a lot of fun and very easy to socialize in." source Hostelworld

"Bidet toilets with seat warmers, immaculate place, constantly cleaned, extremely knowledgeable helpful and friendly staff." source Hostelworld

"It was run very smoothly, cleanly, and I felt my belongings were completely safe with their luggage checking system." source Hostelworld

"Everything was really clean, staff were always helpful, everything was set up really smart and efficiently." source Hostelworld

"A great hostel when in kyoto, clean, secure and with a lot of options to make your stay a confortable one." source Hostelworld

  • Service: Rating of 4.7 out of 5

"K's hostel is like a miniature version of Japan embodied in a hostel - clean, efficient, great service and every possible thing already thought though and planned out - a great place." source Hostelworld

"Things that are positive: room and shared bathroom was very clean; some travelers' service was very nice (weather forecast, internet access, laundry, city bus card selling." source Hostelworld

"We really thought K's House was great--so cheerful and so professionally run with really good extras (internet, laundry, buffet breakfast, helpful staff)." source Hostelworld

"The place is excellent, convenient location, very clean and it has everything you need to travel, just the people not so friendly (staff and guests)." source Hostelworld

"Very nice hostel with comfortable common rooms, very helpful and friendly staff, good kitchen, nice cafe attached to the hostel." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 4.4 out of 5

"We had a room in the second building on the ground floor this meant at night we could not sleep as people were in the common area above us and people were outside our window (in the walkway between the 2 buildings) being noisy and smoking and the staff did nothing about it." source Hostelworld

"The staff is incredibly helpful, the rooms are clean, decent kitchen facilities and the location is really good - walking distance to transtation and busses for all over town are near." source Hostelworld

"The level 2 living area is great for lounging around and meeting people and the hostel has all facilities - only one complaint is that in an 8 person dorm i could only find 2 powerpoints." source Hostelworld

"The only thought I had is that a few more tables and chairs in the kitchen area could benefit as I had to stand or wait to have breakfast and dinner." source Hostelworld

"very recomended, good location (8min walking from Kyoto central station), very polite and easygoing staff but too expensive pc\internet acces." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"I just can say this hostel was great, very clean, it has big common areas, the staff was very nice, anytime u needed them, they were there and it wasn't expensive so if I compare the price and quality of this hostel with other ones that Ive been in Japan this one is the best." source Hostelworld

"Very nice place for the price. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, a good atmosphere and nice bar/restaurant with good breakfast, just okay snacks, and reasonably priced drinks." source Hostelworld

"Breakfast was delicious (and at a reasonable price), the staff was very helpful, the room was very nice and clean, and the location was safe and excellent to access Kyoto Station and buses." source Hostelworld

"Enjoyed stay but for price room was very small even by Japan standards and should have included daily towel change, curtains that cut out some light and provision of hot urn for tea." source Hostelworld

"Combined with the low cost, its hard to make a solid argument against it, and even I would probably come here again if I come back to Kyoto." source Hostelworld
