More information on PILLAR AND POST

The Pillar and Post, renowned for its country charm, is intimately connected to Niagara-on-the-Lakes agricultural history. The original structure was built in the late 1890s as a canning factory, and since has been lovingly transformed into a fine hotel. You can still see its original purpose in the clean lines of the brick walls and in the post-and-beam construction.Dont be fooled by the buildings humble past, though. Today, the Pillar and Post was voted the best hotel in Ontario and happens to be Ontarios only five-star country inn. Its not difficult to see why.The hotel has a relaxed elegance, sunshine streaming in through skylights, and beautiful terra cotta tile floors. With our attentive service and commitment to the comfort of our guests, its an ideal location for a family vacation or business meeting. The Pillar and Posts 100 Fountain Spa is an escape to relaxation and tranquility. The recent extensive renovation into a 13,000 square foot spa has resulted in not only a stunning interior, but a wider offering of services, making it top of its class in Ontario. The heated saltwater pools and hot springs, plus a fitness centre, are yours to enjoy during your stay. Our Executive Chef, Randy Dupuis, welcomes you at Cannery and Carriages dining room. His menu of classic favourites created from the freshest locally grown ingredients, are sure to please. For more informal dining, join us in Vintages Wine Bar and Lounge, where you can design your own pizza and pasta and sample the award-winning wines of the Niagara Region. Our concierge team, members of the exclusive Les Clefs d'Or society, are highly skilled professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional personal service to our guests.

Dining

Cannery and Carriages Dinning RoomOn stie restaurantCannery and Carriages Dinning Room is a onsite restaurant. It is open from 7 am to 10 pm seven days of the week. The type of food served is continental food. Cannery and Carriages dining room in the Pillar and Post has a relaxed, informal atmosphere and an extensive menu of perfectly executed favorites. Executive Chef Randy Dupuis has created a dinner menu of perfectly grilled steaks, fresh seafood and the Italian dishes you love. The heart of our dining room is the hearth a classic brick pizza oven where we make thin-crust California pizza. The hearth is also a serving station where there's something different happening at every meal. During breakfast it's an omelet bar at lunchtime, a pasta bar. At dinnertime, we use it to make appetizers and desserts; and during Sunday brunch, to make waffles. The atmosphere here is very casual, says Chef Dupuis. Some people come in suits, others in jeans. I like to hear the noise and the laughter. We're in the pleasure business. What I'm trying to do is put a smile on your face. And remember our poolside patio for dining among the blooms or under the evening stars.Vintages LoungeOn stie lounge or barVintages Lounge is onsite lounge or bar.
