Hilton Cairns is located approximately 15 miles from the Great Barrier Reef and eight miles from the Cairns International Airport. This location is also 40 miles from Port Douglas and 50 miles from the Daintree Rainforest. Directions

Several bus services operate regularly between the airport and Cairns city centre. The Airporter service stops at major hotels in the city. Taxis are also available (typical fare to the hotel 15 AUD). Most of the major attractions in Cairns can be reached on foot. The Cairns Public Bus service connects the suburbs, the beaches and the city. Taxis are readily available at taxi ranks, and can also be hailed in the street. A car is recommended for travelling beyond the city. Driving directions: From the airport, follow the exit road until Sheridan Street. Turn left into Sheridan Street, heading south until Spence Street. At Spence Street, turn left and follow until the end. The hotel is on the left.
