A beachfront hotel set in four acres of sub tropical gardens on the Cornish coast, St Michael's Hotel & Spa is within one mile of Falmouth town centre. Rooms are decorated in English country house style, with some antique furniture and floral bedspreads and curtains. All 63 rooms have air conditioning, television, telephones and Internet connections, as well as tea/ coffee making facilities and bathrooms with hairdryers. Guests are offered free access to the hotel's health club, which has a large indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, solarium and a fully equipped gym. Guests can enjoy contemporary dishes made from local produce and fresh local seafood in the hotel's two restaurants, the Oyster Bay Restaurant and Flying Fish Bar and Grill. Drinks and cocktails can be served outside on the sea facing terrace or in the rooms, thanks to round the clock room service. The hotel's four acres of sub tropical gardens provide a tranquil setting for strolls, and newspapers are on offer in the calm lobby lounge, where there is also a computer terminal with free Internet access. Knowledgeable staff can provide local information and tour advice and the front desk is open 24 hours a day. Those arriving by car will find free parking nearby. Exeter Airport is 61 miles away; Newquay Airport is 16 miles from the hotel.

Directions

Trains run between Exeter Airport and Falmouth docks; the journey takes 90 minutes and the fare is around 25 GBP. The docks are a short taxi ride from the hotel. A taxi fro Newquay Airport takes 50 minutes and costs around 25 GBP. A car is useful for getting around the area as public transport is limited; at the weekend, traffic can be very heavy and jams are common. From Exeter Airport, take the A30 towards Okehampton and continue to Carland Cross Roundabout. Take the Truro turning (A39) and fowllow signposts for Falmouth. From Newquay Airport, take the A30 towards Truro, take the A39 at Carland cross Roundabout and follow the signs to Falmouth.

There is a large south-facing sun terrace overlooking the gardens and the sea. Perfect for sundowners! Children are made very welcome and there is a Flying Fish Kids Mneu available.
