A world unto itself, Parkhotel Luisenbad is an 1860s hotel with a new wing in a garden setting. It's a fine choice after the Steigenberger, especially if you like traditional hotels. Rooms range from medium to spacious. The more modern ones are handsome, with bold colors and tasteful furnishings, but many guests prefer the older, more traditional rooms. Bathrooms are well-maintained, with tub/shower combinations and deluxe toiletries. Directions

From Salzburg Airport (SZG): Distance to the Parkhotel Luisenbad is 17 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. Bus number 2 departs Salzburg Airport every 10 minutes for Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). A single ticket costs 1.80 EUR. From here trains connect to Bad Reichenhall station, which is one kilometre from the hotel. Bus services are also available to Tyrol and Bavaria. Taxis are available outside the airport terminal and charge around 30 EUR to the hotel. All prices subject to change. Getting around. The best way to explore Bad Reichenhall is on foot or by bicycle, and there is also a bus system. Cars are prohibited from parts of the Old Town.
