  • Overall: Rating of 3.6 out of 5

"A nice 2 star hotel overall but the renovations would be better finished sooner rather than later." source Hostelworld

"It was value for money and we would recommend it to others." source Skoosh

"Overall we were satisfied with the price/quality ratio." source Venere

"A great hotel and was not too expensive for a couple to share a room." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"That said, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the neighbourhood is not a "red light district" like some others on this site have claimed." source Hostelworld

"The hotel is good, clean and it's located just a few minutes away by walking from the casco vejo and the main area of the town." source Hostelworld

"While the hotel seemed a little rundown in the hallway, once I got into my room it was very nice, clean, with enough space for me and a spacious bed." source Venere

"when they cleaned our room, they folded the some of the clothes left on the bed which was nice." source Venere

"That said, the rooms are not dirty (clean sheets and bathroom clean) and for only a night or two this place is ok." source Hostelworld

  • Service: Rating of 3.8 out of 5

"Nice hotel, clean, in walking distance of anything you'd want to see in Bilbao, and a friendly staff." source Hostelworld

"perfect price- quality relation and very friendly staff." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 3.1 out of 5

"Do not be intimidated by the area and it just seems a bit out of the way, is in fact only a 5min walk from all public transport, tram, metro, bus stops and from the old part, casco viejo." source Hostelworld

"although the hotel is located in a less than desirable neighborhood, it is only a 3 or 4 minute walk from the best part of town, located right across the river." source Hostelworld

"The staff does not speak English at all (I had to use something like sign language all the time) and a Moulin Rouge kind of street is located nearby (with prostitutes and beggars, It was like nightmare, as we were getting near the hotel, passing this street." source Venere

"The location was convenient -- but located near a rather unsavory street (Calle San Francisco)which I made the mistake of wandering onto one afternoon." source Venere

"staff nice, location indeed next to the old town (3minuts walk) but also next to a San Francisco street which can be avoided." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"Good value - it is difficult to find reasonable, cheap rooms when you are travelling alone." source Hostelworld

"Good value for money: rooms are fully equiped, clean as in a good simple hotel." source Hostelworld

"The price is great, comparing to other places, is much cheaper than any other hotel, and the quality of the room and of the hotel is in general is very good." source Venere

"A bit ruff walk from the old town if you are on your own but no big deal." source Venere

"Apart from that everything is on average according to the price." source Hostelworld

  • Room: Rating of 3.3 out of 5

"Might be a little bit more expensive than a dorm in a hostel, but is a nice bit of luxury for 1 night- private room (queen bed, TV, air-con) with private ensuite and private balcony." source Hostelworld

"The rooms are small and very hot in the summer. Fortunately I had a room on the 7th floor so I had a balcony as large as my room, which let the cool air in." source Hostelworld

"Newly renovated rooms in a shady part of town, but within short walking distance from everything." source Venere
