"can't really say much for the funes of the place as we only spent time in the room for sleeping later on in the night, the sheets had grey spots on them and didn't look clean, the bed was rock hard and the room was hot." — source Hostelworld
"I could choose to use WiFi or watch TV in the common room or chill all by myself in my very clean room." — source Expedia
"However someone was in to clean the place later in the morning and when I went to the bathroom shortly after the person left it still smelt the same and it looked like no one had cleaned it." — source Hostelworld
"I also overheard a couple complaining of a man entering their room two nights in a row, claiming to be cleaning at 10 in the evening." — source Hostelworld
"The whole hostel could do with a spring clean and the staff didn't seem to concerned over the bed bug situation." — source Hostelworld
-
"Only there for a quick stop but brilliant & helpful staff, a great location and much better than ACB round the corner." — source Hostelworld
"Very nice and friendly staff." — source Hostelworld
-
"This place is pretty dire as far as cleanliness goes but it's good for location if you're willing to lower your standards." — source Hostelworld
"Definitely the best thing going for this hostel is it's location. It's right in the centre and within walking distance of all the main attractions in Auckland, such as The Skytower, The Viaduct, and downtown shopping." — source Travelocity
"Room was rather like being in windowless box, but the staff were really good and the location was ultra convenient." — source Hostelworld
"and it was a great location to public transport, downtown and vector arena." — source Hostelworld
"It's a good central location and it's very easy to meet people, good free stuff too." — source Hostelworld
-
"Does the job for your typical fun backpacking hostel and very good value for money." — source Hostelworld
"Attached to a bar (though rooms stay quiet), Towels cost $5 (+$10 deposit), ""free food"" is a measly plate that you can upgrade to a normal meal for NZ$4, some rooms have no windows or color." — source Travelocity
-
"the luggage room smelled like cat pee, there was a note on the bathroom wall about bedbugs, and when we spoke to reception, we had to wait for 10 minutes listening to one staff member advise another (who lived in a dorm there) about how he got bedbugs and what to do to get rid of them." — source Hostelworld
"My only complaint was that the lockers in the room were broken, the backs of them were not attached so someone could easily reach around to get your stuff." — source Hostelworld
"Private rooms not really so private - connected to a common room where people have the potential to be VERY loud and cause a sleepless night." — source Hostelworld
"we were then put in a double room which was actually a filthy window less cell with really bad ventilation awful old bed." — source Hostelworld
"we booked a double room, however, the walls were so thin we may of well have been in a dorm, not good for privacy." — source Hostelworld
