Truelove is in the historic centre of Amsterdam, the Jordaan, and just minutes walking distance from Central Station. The main shopping centre, night life and tourist attractions are all also nearby.We are centrally located and cater for travellers who want to explore the busy and lively city of Amsterdam, but like to stay in more tranquil surroundings.You can find Truelove in the Prinsenstraat 4, between the Keizersgracht and the Prinsengracht, close to the Noordermarkt.In the basement and on the ground floor you will find our Truelove Antiques and Art. Our Guesthouse is situated on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor. All our rooms have private shower and toilet and have double beds, t.v., hairdryers, radio alarm and coffee and tea making facilities. The guesthouse is located above and next to our antique shop which is in the basement and on the ground floor.As safety is one of our priorities all rooms are equipped with smoked detectors. All our rooms are non smokingWe prefer cash payments. Credit card payments are subject to a 10% surchargeShould you arrive after 18.00 Hrs:If you can give us a call once arrived at the guesthouse. We live just round the corner so only will take us 2 minutes to walk round. This will give you some flexibility on arrival times just in case there are some delays.If you do not have a mobile you can call us from across the road at cafe/restaurant Kalfje or Lettings. They always do that for us�
Directions
If you take the train from the airport to Amsterdam central station. Costs approx. 4 Euro per person. This one departs from Schiphol every 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Amsterdam you can either walk to the guesthouse which takes 7 minutes (see directions underneath) or take a small local bus called the 'STOP en Go'. This one departs outside central station. Ask the driver to drop you of on the corner of the Prinsengracht and Prinsenstraat as the bus has no formal stopsIf you decide to take a taxi from the airport or central station take a TCA BLOKBAND taxi to avoid being overcharged and driven all over the city. The cost of a taxi from the airport is about 50 to 55 euros and from central station approx. 10 euro. You must tell the taxi driver from the airport to go via Rozengracht/ Keizersgracht and for drivers from central station via Brouwersgracht/Keizersgracht and than take the 1st right into the Prinsenstraat.To walk to the house: Going out of the station to your right and walk till you see the 1st canal on your left which is the Singel Canal. Go onto this one and walk till you see the 1st small canal called Blauwburgwal on your right. (it is just a narrow one) go into this one and walk straight on into the Herenstraat and than Prinsenstraat.
