Free coffee every morning to start your day fresh!Come visit our newly renovated hostel located in the heart of Calgary! This is a great place to call home as you explore what this world-famous Western Canadian city has to offer. Prices: Rates are quoted for Hostelling International Members. All Non-members will be charged an additional $4.00 per person / per night upon arrival . Prices include all applicable taxes. Membership can be purchased at the hostel.Facilities: This freshly painted hostel offers new washrooms; a large fully equipped self-serve kitchen; a relaxing reading/internet room; an activity room complete with a 50� television with cable (free videos available), pool table and arcade games; a laundry room; and a lobby area with couches ideal to meet new friends and watch television. We have limited on street parking available at a cost of $5.00 a day. The hostel now has free wireless internet access, free storage even after checking out including bikes, free local phone calls, free onward booking for other HI-Canada hostels, and free linen, bedding, and towels; please leave your sleeping bags at home. Our Rooms:All dorm and private rooms have brand new beds and mattresses! Our dorm rooms have a maximum of six beds and each dormitory room has individual lockers to safely store your belongings. Private rooms have one double bed and one to three single beds. We also have private rooms with ensuites, however these are limited and you must call the hostel to book these. All dorm and private rooms have secure key-card access. Our City :Our friendly and experienced staff is available 24 hours to answer any questions about the city, tours, and things to do. They�re always happy to recommend cool places for you to check out. In the summer, you can�t miss the Calgary Stampede � the �Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth�, and other great festivals!Exploring Calgary is easy from our central location - a quick walk takes you to the city centre where you can find dining, shopping, entertainment and cultural districts for every taste and budget. Other attractions are easy to get to with the help of the nearby C-train (free transportation within the city centre). If you�re looking to explore the great outdoors, ask our front desk staff to help you plan and book your sightseeing tours to the Rocky Mountains, Drumheller, historical sights, and British Columbia.Packages: HI-Calgary City Centre offers seasonal promotions on long-term stays and job seekers packages. Be sure to inquire about our current specials when you arrive. Cancellations: Must be done by 5 pm on the day before your scheduled arrival to avoid any charges. During the Stampede (July 3-12, 2009), 7 days cancellation notice is required.Please note: Mixed dorms can be reserved for couples or mixed-sex groups only. Single travellers should reserve into the appropriate male or female dorm.

From Airport by car (30 minutes):1. Start going South on Barlow Trail toward 16th Avenue North East (Trans Canada Highway #1).2. Turn right/exit onto 16th Avenue North East (Trans Canada Highway #1 West).3. Turn left onto Centre Street North.4. Turn left onto 9th Avenue South (Calgary Tower).5. Turn left onto 4th Street South East.6. Turn right onto 7th Avenue South East.7. The hostel (green building) will be next to the park on the corner. From Airport by Calgary Transit (1 - 1.5 hours):1. Take bus #57 from the airport to the Whitehorn Station. 2. Take a City Centre train for $2.50 and get off at 3rd Street South East Train Station (station after Bridgeland). 3. Walk a block back in the opposite direction of the train travelling. 4. The hostel (green building) will be next to the park on the corner.To look up for the Calgary Transit schedules go to www.calgarytransit.com. From Airport (30 minutes):A taxi from the Airport to the hostel will cost approximately $35.00 Cdn.From Greyhound/Bus Depot Station by Calgary Transit (30 minutes):1. From the Greyhound station, walk 6 blocks East along 9th Avenue towards Downtown (you'll see the city skyline in the distance.2. Turn left on 10th Street and walk 2 blocks North to the C-Train station on 7th Avenue.2. Take the train (free on 7th Avenue) to City Hall Station (5 stops). The C-Train is FREE within the city centre.3. Walk one block in the same direction as the train was travelling. 4. The hostel (green building) will be next to the park on the corner.From Greyhound/Bus Depot Station (10 minutes):A taxi from the Greyhound station to the hostel will cost approximately $10.00.From Edmonton (3 hours):1. Take Highway 2 South.2. Turn right/exit onto 16th Avenue North East. (Trans Canada Highway #1 East).3. Turn left onto Centre Street North.4. Turn left onto 9th Avenue South. (Calgary Tower).5. Turn left onto 4th Street South East.6. Turn right onto 7th Avenue South East.7. The hostel (green building) will be next to the park on the corner.From Banff (1.5 hours):1. Take Trans Canada Highway #1 East (this will become16th Avenue North West).2. Turn right onto Centre Street North.3. Turn left onto 9th Avenue South (Calgary Tower).4. Turn left onto 4th Street South East.5. Turn right onto 7th Ave South East6. The hostel (green building) will be next to the park on the corner.From Trans Canada Highway #1 East (30 minutes):1.
