Directions
From Tegel Airport (TXL): Distance to InterContinental Berlin is eight kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive. Getting there. From the airport, take the X9 express airport shuttle, connecting to central Berlin, the main train station, and the Zoologischer Garten U Bahn station. All buses leave from the upper level. Tickets should be validated prior to boarding. Alternatively, the train will take about 45 minutes, and costs approximately 2.10 EUR. The nearest train station, Hauptbahnhof Lehrter Bahnhof, is three kilometres from the hotel, and the nearest subway station, Zoologischer Garten, is 1.3 kilometres away. Taxis are also available at the airport, and cost around 30 EUR to the hotel, with a journey time of 30 minutes. The hotel can also arrange shuttle services. Prices are subject to change. Getting around. The best way to get around Berlin is to use its public transport system (BVG). Travel on buses, trains, ferries and trams, as well as all U Bahn (underground) and S Bahn (over ground) services, is covered by one ticket.
