Horned Dorset Primavera

A lavish 31-room, four-acre, seaside, Conde Nast Gold List property located just over 2 hours from San Juan, The Horned Dorset Primavera is set in the steep coastal hills of western Puerto Rico, overlooking the confluence of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Opened in 1987, The Horned Dorset Primavera offers its guests relaxation, impeccable service and classic French cuisine. Breakfast and lunch are served poolside or on the verandah of the great house. Dinner is served nightly in a large, formal second-floor dining room decorated in a black and white marble floor with mahogany furnishings, silver accents and candlelight. Guests can choose between a three-course pre-fixe or an eight-course tasting menu. On the premises, there is a 35 x 70 foot freshwater swimming pool and a secluded beach directly in front of the hotel. There is also a small gym on the premises, and in-room aromatherapy massages can be arranged. Deep-sea fishing, all-day boat trips for snorkeling or diving, excursions to nearby mountains, rainforests, coffee plantations and historic towns can be arranged as well as tennis, golf and gambling. NOTE: You will need to arrange and pay for your own transportation from San Juan airport to the hotel. The cost for transfers is not included in this package. There are three transportation options to get from San Juan Airport to The Horned Dorset Primavera. The most practical and economical is to rent a car from the airport (about $35-$40/day). The hotel will fax you driving directions in advance. If you prefer, the hotel will send a car for $180 each way. You can arrange this up to two days prior to your arrival in San Juan.
