"i'll definitely recommend the Wanderer's Inn to friends and we'll be sure to come back ourselves, but next time we'll get a "private suite" not a 12 bed room :)." source Hostelworld

"We stayed two nights in a private room, and I recommend any couples who want to see NYC to go to the Wanderer's." source Hostelworld

"The staff was very helpful and nice and I am sure I am going to stay there again some day." source Hostelworld

"Place recommended by a friend, I'll recommend it again without hesitation." source Hostelworld

"I would say, without this person I would recommend this hostel to everybody." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 4.2 out of 5

"It has a good location, 3 blocks from subway, the area is very safe, it\'s cleaned everyday, breakfast is good - bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit and drinks - the small common areas are great to meat people and hang out." source Hostelworld

"very good place, nice to have the showers and toilets cleaned every day, people are always willing to help, what i like about this is they just left you alone to do what you want which i loved about the place." source Hostelworld

"excellent hostel, great price, filling breakfast and its included, close to the subway, excellent staff, very helpful, very clean, washing facilities even better cost $1." source Hostelworld

"The rooms were clean, but the air conditioning really loud (so could not be used during the night) and we could not open the window." source Hostelworld

"safe location, clean building, free breakfast, friendly people - its all you can ask and more from a hostel." source Hostelworld

  • Service: Rating of 4.4 out of 5

"And a big 'THANKS' goes out the helpful and friendly staff." source Hostelworld

"Good location, nice and helpful staff, very clean." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 3.7 out of 5

"Friendly and fun staff, the location is ok (metro close by, big streets with lights, felt rather safe), 15 mins to central Manhattan by metro." source Hostelworld

"The location is really next to the metro station and you can get mid and downtown in less than 20 minutes." source Hostelworld

"The only sideback I found was that the outside terrace closes at 10PM, and the inside common area at 12PM." source Hostelworld

"), location is good, although females travelling alone should not be out there after the sun got down." source Hostelworld

"theres only a small kitchen with a tv with one channel and a small, not really nice outside area." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"Yes, its a little on the shabby side, a little cramped and the neighbourhood isn't going to be to everybody's taste, but, it is great for meeting people, the staff (Ze and co) very friendly and helpful, and for NYC, it is great great value." source Hostelworld

"I thought the staff were lovely and it did the job for the price paid." source Hostelworld

"Breakfast was OK for a hostel with this excellent price." source Hostelworld

  • Room

"The security concerning thefts and things like that was o k - I am not paranoid, but living on 3rd floor in a room with windoes, which can not be opened, a wooden stair and no instructions about possibillities to get out in case of fire, is not o k." source Hostelworld

"Initially we were very disappointed in the 'basicness' of the tiny private room with bunks - but the staff and people were really friendly and we got a good quiet sleep." source Hostelworld

"It was noisy at times with people coming in and out of the room I was staying in but that is to be expected as we were not all on the same schedule." source Hostelworld

"I enjoyed the breakfast and hanging out in the community room talking to people - it felt like coming home after long days of walking." source Hostelworld

"We booked a private room. There appears to be only 2 private rooms side by side next to the hostel entrance." source Hostelworld
