Imagine a hostel only 1500 metres from the city centre (15-20 minutes walk or 5mins by bus): a hostel where you can escape the hustle and bustle from the moment you enter the property through the garden gate...Take a walk along the garden path to a charming villa with polished wooden floors and hand-made native timber furniture. Both our villas have been completely restored and are equipped to please the travellers needs.OFFICE HOURS & CHECK-IN TIMES: 8am to 8pmIf you are arriving outside our reception hours we can arrange an after hour key collection. However, in consideration for all guests but especially those in dormitory rooms we will ONLY offer this service for bookings made for a private room (ie. not available for bookings of dorm beds).CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to the day of arrival by email. However, if you need to cancel your booking within the 48 hours please call us and we will try to resell your room and if successfull we will not charge you.CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR BOOKINGS:CHRISTMAS: We have a minimum stay period over Christmas and your booking MUST include the nights of 24, 25 and 26 December otherwise your booking will not be accepted. Please be aware of our EXTENDED CANCELLATION policy: any cancellations must be received by email ONE WEEK PRIOR TO your arrival. Cancellations within one week will be charged at 100% of your booking. However we will endeavour to re-let your room and if successful there will be no charge for a late cancellation or failure to arrive. NEW YEAR:We have a minimum stay period over New Year and your booking MUST include the nights of 30 December to 1 January 2008 otherwise your booking will not be accepted.Please be aware of our EXTENDED CANCELLATION policy: any cancellations must be received by email ONE WEEK PRIOR TO your arrival. Cancellations within one week will be charged at 100% of your booking. However we will endeavour to re-let your room and if successful there will be no charge for a late cancellation or failure to arrive.The AccommodationCentral heating to keep warm during those cold winter months, Doubles & Twins (with and without private bathrooms) & spacious Dorms - all with firm beds for a good nights sleep. Triple rooms have one double and one single bed. All private rooms have fully made up beds. The Facilities:Well equipped kitchens and pick your own fresh herbs from our organic herb garden to enhance your meal, TV lounge and a separate reading lounge to chill out & other home comforts such as laundry, guest telephone & Internet, off street parking...The Garden:Our spacious garden landscaped with lots of native plants, fern trees and palm trees is a wonderful space to relax. Plenty of outdoor seating invites you to sit back, rejuvenate, contemplate your travel memories and itineries or enjoy a good conversation with friends and travel mates.The Location:Best of both worlds: close enough to the city sights whilst supermarket, fruit & vege shop, post office, take aways, banks, restaurants etc. are conveniently located just accross the road. Buses to local beaches and city leave from our doorstep.The Staff:Just friendly people and keen travellers themselves are waiting to help you and to share all their local knowledge with you to make your stay here most enjoyable.Children Policy:Regretully we can only accept children age 14 and older.

DIRECTIONS:From the airport: Shuttle direct to our doorstep: $18 for one passenger, $22 for two passengersTaxi direct to our doorstep: Approximately $45Public Bus to city centre: $7 to the Bus Exchange, then either 20 minutes walk or take bus no. 21 and get off at Stanmore Road for $2.50From the train station:Shuttle direct to our doorstep: $6 per passengerTaxi direct to our doorstep: Approximately $25Public Bus: there is no public transport to and from the train station!Walk from the city centre: Walk east along Gloucester Street for approx. 15 - 20 minutes. We are at the corner of Stanmore Road and Gloucester StreetIMPORTANT: 1. Full payment of the balance is due IN CASH on arrival.2. Please remember that you MUST ARRIVE BEFORE 8PM as our reception will be closed after 8pm.3.
