"Another thing I found different about this hotel was the gift shop, the Tiki bar and the convience store prices were all within reason for being on location." — source Travelocity
-
"The ocean & beach are first rate, an easy walk down to the ""Black Rock"" area where you can snorkel and see nearly every fish that you would on an expensive snorkel cruise, for only the cost of renting the gear from the hotel." — source Travelocity
"The gardens were beautiful, the ocean just a few steps away, and the nightly music, aaaahhhh, to sit in your room or on the Lanai and listen to live music every night for two hours, and know that you are getting a great deal." — source Travelocity
"The staff is outstanding, the rooms are airy and clean, the Partial Ocean view had a terrific view of the ocean, and the best part was the buffet breakfast with the cost of our room." — source Travelocity
"As with all of these room options I would suggest thinking about how much time you will really be spending in your rooms to appreciate the good views at extra cost." — source Travelocity
"Otherwise a great place for a familly (if you eat elsewhere due to cost) with many cultural activities and a super, duper group of staff." — source Travelocity
More information on Kaanapali Beach Hotel
It's older and less high-tech than its upscale neighbors, but the Kaanapali has an irresistible local style and a real Hawaiian warmth that's missing from many other Maui hotels. Three low-rise wings, which border a fabulous stretch of beach, are set around a wide, grassy lawn with coco palms and a whale-shaped pool. The spacious, spotless motel-like rooms are done in wicker and rattan, with Hawaiian-style bedspreads and a lanai that looks toward the courtyard and the beach. The beachfront rooms are separated from the water only by Kaanapali's landscaped walking trail.Old Hawaii values and customs are always close at hand, and the service is some of the friendliest around. Tiki torches, hula, and Hawaiian music create a festive atmosphere in the expansive open courtyard every night. As part of the hotel's extensive Hawaiiana program, you can learn to cut pineapple, weave lauhala, even dance the real hula. The children's program is complimentary. There's also an arts-and-crafts fair 4 days a week, a morning welcome reception Monday through Saturday, and a farewell lei ceremony when you depart.2Facilities: 2 restaurants; bar (poolside; it fixes a mean piña colada); outdoor pool; 36-hole golf course nearby; access to tennis courts; watersports equipment rentals; children's program; concierge/guest services; activities desk; convenience shops; salon; babysitting; coin-op washer/dryers.
