Just minutes away from the historical centre of Taormina, with Corso Umberto main pedestrian street, the President Hotel Splendid boasts wonderful views over the bay of Letojanni and Calabria's coastline. Originating from an ancient monastery and rich in gardens and terraces, the hotel offers rooms furnished in ethnic style, with sea view, balcony or terrace, a restaurant, two bars and an outdoor swimming pool. The pool area is surrounded by a fully planted terrace overlooking the Ionic coast up to Messina. Furthermore, at guests' disposal a snack bar open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

From Catania Fontanorossa Airport (CTA): Distance to President Hotel Splendid is 60 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive. Getting there. A bus service runs to Taormina, four kilometres away. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. The journey time is about 60 minutes. Taxis cost around 100 EUR directly to the hotel. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Exploring Taormina and surrounding region by scooter is popular. Buses run throughout Taormina. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas. Driving directions. From Catania Fontanorossa Airport. Get on Highway A18 Messina Catania, towards Messina. Exit at Taormina and follow the signs to Taormina centre.
