the elusive Southwest past at the Sagebrush Inn. Long a Taos landmark- the inn offers tradition- aesthetics and comfort- all at a reasonable price. Three miles south of Taos Plaza- it is removed from the crowds yet easily accessible to attractions in the area. All guest receive a full complimentary cook to order breakfast each morning. High speed wireless internet is available at no charge. Two indoor hot tubs- outdoor seasonal swimming pool. Nightly entertainment and dance lessons are available in our cantina. The Los Vaqueros Steak House specializes in Prime Rib- Fish and Seafood- and Mexican cuisine. Our misson-style inn was built in 1929- catering to well-to-do guests traveling between New York and Arizona. The painter- Georgia OKeeffe- lived here for six months during the 1940s- working in the only third story room. All 97 rooms are delightfully decorated with hand-carved furniture and Mexican tiled bathrooms. Accent rugs- pottery lamps- vigas- tin light fixtures as well as televisions and phones enhance each room. Many rooms have kiva fireplaces that add a warm romantic feel to the room.
