This hostel is situated in the center of the picturesque Venetian old town of Rethymno, offering a small oasis of fun and relaxation to travelers from all over the world! It's set within peaceful surrounding streets yet close to the town's long sandy beach and exciting night-life. Entering from the street you will find a typical Venetian building with thick stone walls and wooden floors upstairs.Downstairs there is a beautiful patio surrounded by the green of our gardens for relaxation. If you use Rethymno hostel you'll have easy access to both the bus station for travel within the island, and the ferry port for boats to and from Piraeus.Centrally positioned on the island of Crete, travelers can use the hostel as a base for day trips to the most attractive sites of the island like the Samaria Gorge, Lake Kournas, Preveli beach, Knossos, Festos, Falasarna, Ballos Beach, Elafonisi e.t.c. or the various historical and archaeological sites around.In the evening most travelers gather for a drink ( or two ) on the hostel's patio to chill out, before starting the usual restaurant and bar hopping!!!There is a 24 hour CCTV system in the entrance and common room areas of the hostel!WiFi Internet is available for our guests !The warm and friendly atmosphere will make your stay at Rethymno Youth Hostel a memorable one.Cancellation or changes in a booking requests are accepted only via e-mail 48 hours prior to arrival .---------------------------------------------------------------During high season, we try to keep a few beds available for last minute walk - ins!!---------------------------------------------------------------
Directions
The hostel is located in the centre of Rethymno old town at Tobazi 41, Street, and it's only 10 minutes walk from the town's port or the bus station!There is a ferry coming to Rethymno every day during summer time and every other day in the winter period.However there are daily ferries, (to and from Piraeus,) all year, from both Chania and Heraklion. If you arrive in one of these towns first, you can easily come here by taking one of the buses running to Rethymno, (at least every hour from early morning until 21.00 .)We wish you a safe and pleasant trip!!
