The hotel is an ideal base for a trip to nearby Shiretoko and Abashiri National Parks, Kushiro Marshlands National Park, and Furano district. The hotel also offers nine-hole putting golf course, tennis courts, as well as rental bikes during spring to autumn. Karaoke rooms and table tennis room are also available throughout the year. (06/08 YT) It is a modern, white 8-story building facing the Lake Kussharo. The hotel is located in the Akan National Park, in eastern Hokkaido, amid the breath-taking scenery of volcanic peaks, some caldera lakes, and extensive forests. This particular hotel stands on the shore of Lake Kussharo, one of the largest lakes in Japan. From Kushiro Airport, it takes about 2 hours drive and 1hour from Memanbetsu Airport. The nearest train station is JR Mashu Station on JR Kushiro Honsen Line and it takes about 25 minutes from this station to the hotel by taxi.

Getting there:Free shuttle buses run daily between the hotel and Odaw ara Station(45 minutes away). The shuttle bus departs from Odawara Station at 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. The shuttle bus departs The Prin ce Hakone at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. Guests must contact th e hotel in advance to book shuttle service.
